Rose Day Award:

This year's Rose Day Award went to Women in Business, part of CCD Business Development Corporation. The WIB has grown from 12 attendees at their first meeting in 2022 to attracting over 1,240 attendees in 2024. They create an empowering environment that connects Business women to share ideas, learn from each other, and hear from experts. They served 228 clients last year, 103 of which were from Douglas County. THANK YOU Women in Business for yor efforts to help women in Southwest Oregon dream, share, and find pathways to a successful business!

October: Zonta hosted a presentation at the Roseburg Public Library to teach the public how to Develop a Defensive Mind Set. Retired law enforcement officer James Stradley went over tips to make folks safer while at home, during travel, during an active shooter situation, and how to avoid identity theft. Stradley pointed out your most powerful tool is your brain. Be alert, watchful, think ahead of possible issues, and present an air of confidence. Being alert and perceptive is your strongest defense.

Our annual Young Women in Public Affairs award.
